New Single Release: 'Rise Together' by Amaru Tribe Ft. Luka Lesson
Updated: Jul 1, 2022
Release Date: 4 December 2020.
Rise Together' is the first single of the upcoming EP by Amaru Tribe. Produced by Oscar Jimenez AKA ChibCha. Written by Katherine Gailer, Oscar Jimenez and special guest, spoken-word artist and MC, Luka Lesson.
‘Rise Together’ is a song that calls for unity and awakening in this current polarised world. Inspired by the sentiments felt by the artists during the lockdown, along with the urgency of the climate crisis, this is a invitation for people and communities to connect and work in harmony, because the alternative is unthinkable; a sentiment best summed up best with the lyrics “we must come together or disappear forever”.
The song really speaks to the choices we have to make as a society; the hands we use to pray are the same we use to fight. There is a call to action, to tap into our ancestral wisdom and choose the path that leads to positivity.
The band are currently preparing the release of their new concept EP 'Songs for the Earth' which, in collaboration with local and international animators, weaves the music with Katherine's award-winning visual artwork. To celebrate this first concert they are pre-releasing the tune ‘Rise Together’, and will be performing this new single live, for the first time, at The Night Cat on the 6th of December, along with some of the new songs of the upcoming EP.
